This is my arch nemesis: the master water closet
It doesn't look so bad in this picture, but I hate it
When we first moved in it was apparent that this room had not been regularly cleaned
And no matter how hard I scrub the linoleum flooring it still looks grimy
I wanted to replace the toilet when we first moved in (and the other two toilets in the house)
But for cost savings we just scrubbed every inch of it and switched out the seat
The last couple of month the handle has been acting up and getting stuck
Also the water runs continuously so it is pretty noisy
And now it started to leak...but we don't know where or why
Is it wrong that while Steve wants to figure it all out this weekend
I just want to chuck it out and get a new one?
And as long as the toilet is coming out...we should probably take the opportunity to tile the floor
And if the toilet is new, and the floor is new, then changing out one light fixture wouldn't be too bad,
And the truth is painting the door and changing out the hardware is already on the to-do list...
Yes, this leaking toilet might be my ticket to getting the bathroom I always wanted...
