The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 192 - "Gilbert; keeping it classy"

We truly love living in Gilbert and it's a beautiful town...but people who live here know that it's still growing
And although there are some amazing shopping centers, parks, lakes, and an adorable down town
There are also pockets of old ranches and houses...some kept up real nice and some...not so much

When we first moved to Gilbert and kept stumbling on run down areas, we had a little inside joke...
We said that Gilbert's slogan would be "Gilbert; keeping it classy"
(This mostly came up after we had to live with staring at a giant RV plugged into our neighbors home
For the first month we lived in our house...I was afraid they would be there forever!!!)

Anyway, so tonight I was the one keeping it classy in Gilbert...
It is actually freezing out - literally...and will be for the next few nights
And while that may not sound like a big deal, for our desert dwelling plants it is actually a huge deal
We already suffered some frost damage to our plants in December so I wanted to protect them tonight
So there I was at 8:30...pajamas, socks, flip flops, wool coat...with bed sheets and red tape in hand

It isn't pretty (nor was I)  but I'm hoping it will do the trick!!!
