The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 19 - Building The Cove II

When we moved into our new house we started to pair down the amount of belongings we had. To fill out our large family room we purchased a large flat screen and Blu Ray dvd player (after I made the mistake of getting Steve an HD dvd player)We really didn't have a need for more than one tv so we decided to loan out our small flat screen and dvd player (both gifts I got from Steve) to my sister Mykaela because she was currently using my old dorm TV/VCR combo (do you see a pattern here...both that Steve and I only give each other electronic gifts and that my sister reaps the benefit of our constant obsession for new technology)

Anyway, Mykaela then created the first "Cove". She wedged the head and back side of her bed into a corner and then flanked the foot end of the bed with a dresser that had the tv and dvd player on top of it facing the head of her bed. It was her little movie/lounge heaven...and probably her favorite place on earth. She has now moved out to California for a job and is staying with a friend...and regrettable had to leave her Cove makings behind. We re-inherited the tv and dvd player and in honor of Myk created Cove II. This cove however is not for movie lounging...it is for movie moving! That's right...to watch a movie in the Cove II you have to work out on the elliptical (not that elliptical powers the tv...although that would be amazing). So every night I run for 20-30 min and watch Pride and Prejudice...the BBC, 6 hour version...that should keep me working out!

  1. So funny! I love the part about the elliptical powering the TV. That would be great. I need everything I use to be powered by that method!!!!
