The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 14 - Food, Family, & Fright

The morning started with food...lots of food
Steve made traditional Ebelskivers for Beth, Anne, and Jesse (his mother, sister and her boyfriend)
We also made bacon and eggs, but the ebelskivers were definitely the highlight of the feast.

After breakfast we spent a few hours looking at old Cowley family photos
Before we knew it, it was already mid afternoon and we had to hit the road...

We went out to my parent's place for a family swim and dinner
(Myk, the whole family was there and we all missed you so much)
Wes made it into the pool and although the new life vest helped him not drown it didn't calm his nerves at all
(sorry, no pics of us swimming...my hands were full with Wes)

Then it was home again - to relax and wind down...or so we thought...

We were home all of 3 seconds when Steve set his foot down right next to a scorpion
Luckily he wasn't stung and was able to smash it before it ran off
(I actually tried to take a picture of it but the flash was off
and I was too scared to take the time to try for another picture...they run pretty fast!!!)
That makes 3 scorpions this week...thanks a lot rain!
