The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 10 - Water Woes

This is the new water cooler at work...

and these are the hot, room temp, and cold water spouts

You read that right; a room temperature spout!!!
I never drink enough water but I am trying my hardest to get better about it. Room temp water is so much easier to drink so I was super pumped when we got this new water cooler. Unfortunately 3 days in and the room temp spout stopped working. So I tried to make my own...fill the bottle 3/4 full of cold water and 1/4 of hot water...sounds easy enough right?!? Well let's just say these spouts don't have a very strong or straight stream. After severely freezing my hand, I severely burned it...then discover the bottom of my water bottle expanded due to the rapid temperature changes. I know, not the biggest tragedy, but it's hard to be given something amazing just to have to taken away so quickly.

  1. Oh sweet girl, I don't know which made me laugh harder, this post or seeing the mascot outfit Mykaela had to wear. It's nice to have such entertainment on a run of the mill Tuesday.

  2. Aw, this post actually made me very sad for you haha, because I know how hard you are trying to drink your agua, and now you are even sacrificing your hands! What I have found to be super helpful at work us once a week I go buy a giant dasani water bottle from the gas station. Then I make sure to drink the whole thing before the day is over, then before you leave work, refill it with cold water and then leave it at your desk overnight and voilà, room temperature water waiting for you in the morning :) hope this helps silly!
