The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 236 - Thinking outside of the box

"Think outside the box" - That phrase has been haunting me at work all week
We are working on a new project...but we are competing against 2 other firms to actually get the project
We are tasked with taking a walled in, all private office work environment and making it all open office
The hardest part isn't the design though...it's the presentation
Next Tuesday we need to "show our progress" to the client (but they didn't specify how)
And then a week after that we actually present the final solution to the client in person

So how do you show progress...without giving away the goods?
My solution - a box - it's not done yet...but I'll give you a sneak peak of the sneak peak box

So I wrapped the outside of the box with the existing floor plan...

When you take the lid off all of the sides of the box fold down to reveal...

A close up detail...

And the actual color pallet...

So that's where I'm at...just cross your fingers this is what the client is looking for
And that the rest of this week goes fast...next week goes fast...and we get the job

  2. Wow! First off, I love the color palette! Second, I think this is such a cool, fun, and exciting way to present your progress! I would be pumped to get something like that. Good luck, I hope they make the right decision and hire you guys!
