The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 50 - Progress

We finally hung the light fixture in the stairway (and started to put up family photos)
The original plan was for Steve and our friend Corey to put up the 4' tall chandelier...
But Corey has been in Minnesota helping his parents renovate their guest house for the past 3 months
So I had to step in and help...It's not that I don't like doing these projects with Steve...
Because I really do like helping...It's just that my 5'5" frame isn't quite as helpful as Corey's 6'4" frame.

What I'm really trying to say it that today was a success but, Corey Please Come Home!!!

  1. Oh, Summer (and Steve), this looks sooo great! I love the light and I am glad I did not know when you were putting it up, because I would have been my very mom-nervous self! The pictures are great too, except, I am still not too sure about that high school senior picture of me, but then, I don't think anyone else would know it is me. So, it works! Awesome job!!!
