The Goal: to take and post at least one picture each day for the entire year that I'm 27.

I find that I rush through the day, to rush through the week, to get to the weekend...just to find that an entire year goes by in the blink of an eye. So, on the eve of my last day as a 26 year old I decided to make a change. I challenged myself to take the time each day and find at least one moment worth remembering, hoping that in this way I will learn to live each day for what it is. For regardless of how uniform the days may feel at a glace each one is truly unique and worth cherishing.

Day 240 - Full Couch

We finally spent our Z Gallerie gift card from Anne and Jesse (Steve's sister and her boyfriend)
They gave it to us for Christmas and we wanted to use it to buy some pillows we fell in love with months ago
We never got around to going back to the store to buy them until now...and it's a good thing we didn't
Because this weekend they were on sale!!! Nothing is better than getting what you want for less

It's a good thing that we rarely ever sit on the living room couch...because as you can tell it's pretty full!

Day 239 - The scale of things

Today I gave in to my obsession with the over sized and ridiculously small

First up, my mini spoons...I love these things!!!
I plan on using them for individual desserts that I am serving at Adrienne's shower

And just for a bit of perspective...here they are next to my regular flat ware spoons...

The second purchase of the day...an extra large canvas
I have (big) plans for some family room art and I finally had a 40% off coupon to Micheal's

It really is quite large...4 feet by 5 feet to be exact (look how small it makes my big man Wes look)

Day 238 - When the weather is fine...

Dinner out, walking the shops under a full moon with the smell of orange blossoms in the air...
I wish Arizona spring could last forever!!!

Day 237 - Pinch me!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Thursday nights we stayed in and watch all of our favorite NBC shows with Corey
Today is no different...except it ended with Mint Oreo Blizzards from Diary Queen...sooo good

Day 236 - Thinking outside of the box

"Think outside the box" - That phrase has been haunting me at work all week
We are working on a new project...but we are competing against 2 other firms to actually get the project
We are tasked with taking a walled in, all private office work environment and making it all open office
The hardest part isn't the design though...it's the presentation
Next Tuesday we need to "show our progress" to the client (but they didn't specify how)
And then a week after that we actually present the final solution to the client in person

So how do you show progress...without giving away the goods?
My solution - a box - it's not done yet...but I'll give you a sneak peak of the sneak peak box

So I wrapped the outside of the box with the existing floor plan...

When you take the lid off all of the sides of the box fold down to reveal...

A close up detail...

And the actual color pallet...

So that's where I'm at...just cross your fingers this is what the client is looking for
And that the rest of this week goes fast...next week goes fast...and we get the job

Day 235 - Lost and Found

Found in my vast collection of keepsakes were two stow aways...

First is a wood number seven faced with copper (?) that has developed a nice deep patina

Second is a box full of beautiful hand made barbie and skipper (?) clothes cerca 1960

Now I figure it's fare to post these lost lovies and wait for thier owner to clain them...
But how long should I wait before what's been lost finds a new owner (me)

You've got until the end of the week (mom) and then I keep them (the dresses not the number 7...sorry dad)

Day 234 - Inspiration

My mom said she needs inspiration...and I need a blog post
She needs a boost to keep going on her mission to get the new house ready to live in
And the old house ready to sell...and eventually leave

Well here it is mom...if you keep going all of this could be yours...

Look at that floor...it's gorgeous!!!

Keep thinking "Coastal Villa"...old world style meets fresh and clean beach comfort
You can do it (and we'll all reap the benefits when you do!!!)
